About John Redmond, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

John Redmond, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in Tennessee and Mississippi. He’s happy to be part of the WellMind Behavioral Health & Wellness team in Cordova, Tennessee.  

John earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the University of Mississippi at Oxford, and a Master’s in the Science of Nursing from Walden University.

He’s also served as part of the trauma team at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee, as the Director of Nursing Administration at Lakeside Behavioral Health in Memphis, and on the surgical services and diagnostic imaging team at St. Jude.

John is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as an infantry officer with the 101st Airborne Division. His military service gives him insight and a special connection to the veterans he treats who are experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or depression following their overseas service to our country. John also specializes in treating depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), PTSD, and bipolar disorder in the general population.
